Faculty of Tourism and Culinary Arts Successfully Hosts Its 7th Annual Scientific Conference
The Faculty of Tourism and Culinary Arts at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT) successfully hosted its 7th Faculty-Level Scientific Conference for the 2025–2026 academic year, centering on the theme: "Enhancing Research and Teaching Quality in Vietnam's New Era of Rising Up."

Set against the backdrop of rapid global integration, the conference highlighted the crucial role of scientific research and higher education in developing a high-quality workforce aligned with the nation's intellectual growth. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Xuan Thuy, Dean of the Faculty and Head of the Organizing Committee, opened the event with welcoming remarks, while Dr. Pham Minh Luan, Vice Dean and Standing Deputy Head, chaired and moderated the professional panel discussions.

The conference drew an impressive 28 papers from faculty members and students. From these, the Scientific Council selected five outstanding, high-impact studies for live presentation. The featured research spanned a diverse range of contemporary issues, including tourism development partnerships in Cham ethnic culture, safety testing for pre-packaged bird's nest beverages, advancements in food technology, and the implementation of tech-based self-service systems in restaurants. These presentations sparked lively, constructive debates and meaningful exchanges among lecturers, industry experts, and students alike. The event concluded on a high note with a commemorative gift presentation to the speakers and a group photo.
Ultimately, the success of this 7th annual conference extends far beyond statistics and research papers—it successfully reignited a passion for academic inquiry, bridged generations of educators and students, and established a robust foundation for ongoing campus innovation. The Faculty of Tourism and Culinary Arts looks forward to welcoming faculty members and students back for the 2026–2027 annual conference to explore new horizons of knowledge.
